Thurlby School caters for around 200 pupils aged between 4 and 11 years, and is situated in the heart of a thriving village community close to the town of Bourne. Our aim is to provide an education that allows every child to fulfil their potential to the maximum.
Set in attractive grounds, the school houses spacious modern classrooms with a music room, large hall, social room, two playgrounds, library and a new computer suite.

The school offers a broad and balanced curriculum taught through a variety of teaching strategies without neglecting the important values of discipline, courtesy and good manners.

The school is very well resourced and effectively targets the specific needs of all individuals. "Thurlby Primary School is a good school with many strengths and a well deserved good reputation." Ofsted November 2008

As a school we believe very strongly that pupil success should be promoted through an effective home school partnership with staff and governors working in harmony to support this philosophy.
Governors and staff were very pleased to receive a letter of congratulation from the Lincolnshire School Improvement Service regarding pupil achievement in the 2010 Key Stage 2 SAT tests. The letter recognised the tremendous progress made by pupils at Thurlby Primary School and celebrated its position alongside top performing schools in the Local Authority.
Please do not hesitate to contact us so a visit can be arranged, this will enable you to witness first hand the happy and purposeful working environment within the school.
